To promote, encourage, and facilitate the biblical principle of giving to charitable and faith-based organizations
Our Focus
The “first tithe” belongs to God and is intended to support the ecclesiastical structure of the church. The “second tithe” (Deuteronomy 14:22-27) is intended to create a community of believers that celebrates the goodness of God and shares in His abundant blessings. So, SecondTithe.org focuses on faith-based community efforts including Christian education, family services, public safety, disaster relief, volunteerism, youth development, housing and shelter, rehabilitation, and other community efforts.
How does anonymous giving work?
Simply send us your donation with the designated beneficiary information, and SecondTithe.org will make the donation for you. Your donation receipt (and proof of beneficiary receipt) will come from SecondTithe.org and is tax deductible.
Why give anonymously?
First - It’s biblical. "When you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly." --Jesus (Matthew 6:2-4)
Second - There are practical reasons to give anonymously:
- You can avoid awkward situations when you and the beneficiary are closely associated. In other words, you may not want the beneficiary to “know your business.”
- You are shielded from additional requests from the beneficiary. Your identity is held in confidence.
- You are protected from targeted fundraising campaigns. Your information is not sold or revealed to third parties.
- You may want to help a charitable effort without being “affiliated” with a specific entity.
- It simplifies giving. SecondTithe.org can become your one-stop portal for all your giving opportunities.

Can I give to any organization of my choice?

We encourage you to give directly to any beneficiary where you want the gift to be recognized. SecondTithe.org is here to help you give above and beyond the need for recognition.
How does SecondTithe.org profit from this?
We don’t! SecondTithe.org is a non-profit organization facilitating the biblical principle of giving. As a non-profit organization, we accept donations also (which is not anonymous, of course).
Can I provide special instructions (or restrictions) to the beneficiary for using the gift?
Yes, SecondTithe.org can include special instructions or restrictions with the gift.
Can I create an endowment through SecondTithe.org?
Yes, SecondTithe.org can help you create endowments, scholarships, and other beneficiary trust funds. But this takes time, and there are administrative fees. Contact us at info@secondtithe.org for more information.
How does an organization become a featured beneficiary?
SecondTithe.org maintains an active relationship with hundreds of charitable and faith-based organizations. These featured relationships are highlighted on a rotating basis.
