"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Luke 6:38

Why Give?

Giving is a foundational principle of the human experience. Every one of us is born with a dependency on others. We would not be here if someone did not give to us. That dependency endures throughout our life.

At some point, we hopefully accumulate enough blessings from God and others that we become the giver of blessings. When we do, we are blessed even more. So, give now and enjoy the abundant blessings of the Lord.

What is a Tithe?

"Tithe" simply means "one-tenth." It is a good "biblical measure" of what to give. But the root word for "tithe" means to accumulate. As we go through life, we accumulate through giving and receiving (which we call "doing business"). The biblical principle of giving is that we give back a portion (tithe) of what we have accumulated. For in the end, we will take none of it with us.
